What is CSEdWeek? Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) is an annual, nationwide event that started in 2009 to raise awareness about the need for computer science education for all learners and highlight its importance in 21st-century careers. This year it’s celebrated the week of December 7th. #CSForAllNYC #CSEdWeek @CSForAllNYC @nyschools

So today we're at the Intrepid 40s bras launch of Computer Science Education Sophia said we can all about exposed to the computer science for students important because we want to be the creators of the technology we want to make sure that all students are doing Sophia Mendeleev is all about teachers being able to give students opportunities to see what's beyond just playing games watching videos using app so I can we go to go into the into the notion of participating super excited I think the Intrepid is helping out but just the fact that they're going to get real support and this beautiful setting I think they're so stoked and ready to go. What's the latest technology available for the how I can introduce it to my students and make it fun for the most important things to build with his notion of fearlessness knowledge and I'm just Captain America actually I am learning from my students they tend to get it faster than I do versus online computer science Concepts they would need to know if an opportunity for us to learn just like when you give directions to your students you have to be very precise when you give them Direction same thing when you're giving directions to the computer have to be very precise when we're doing it learned a lot about different things to make an engaging in class before I came here I have a really hard time implementing computer science my classes at the kids are so young but now that I came here it's just I found so many videos from your resources I can take back to my classroom and use with my children teachers take this and put on an event and we're hoping for something that's more like a pep rally to get kids excited about computer science kids get to design a game for the computer science with that amount of skin around and it's like an escaped cat so it's cast and crew the situation so it's not even if they don't become program is a smoke-free you'll have more appreciation what goes into it this is going to be the best forever you know it's a second one is bigger and better I'm like to talk to someone extra Metro help I believe computer science help students become Innovative thinkers and give them opportunities to problem-solve in the 21st century and unless we have a diverse group of keeps you young people thinking about how to solve those problems they will not be solved our purpose of doing this is to provide productive citizens in our society. moving forward into the future with my class
