We are so very excited to share the second session of our District 32 Black Lives Matter Consortium with the continued intention of establishing a series of virtual opportunities for us to foster a safe space of learning for our school communities to speak our truth, to empower difficult but necessary courageous conversations, and most importantly, to grow our collective capacity to engage in equity work and activism towards an inclusive and hopeful future for all. The second session's focus is on "That Which Unites Us," which highlights the common threads that connect the experiences of People of Color in America, including that of our Asian American Pacific Islander communities--whose stories have garnered recent attention due to the unfortunate uptick in hate crimes and violence. Please join us for this wonderful opportunity to "widen our aperture" and connect on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 5 PM to 7 PM. It will be co-hosted by our school, P.S. 145 and M.S. 349.

Our very own staff members Liu Kelly Lee Purum Ramoo Lashana Zhu Sarah and Imaralu Patrice have planned and will be facilitating one of the breakout sessions. We also will have a performance from our district's acapella group, co-led by Bratton John.
